The book is a compilation of three lectures by Professor Alger, a professor of Islamic Studies in the University of California, Los Angeles. His deep studies on Islam prompted him to convert to Shia Islam. He, in his first lecture speaks in context of Islamic Revolution of Iran, about the doctrine of Imamate, the successor ship to the Holy Prophet SAWA, its authoritative interpretation and extension of Islamic Law and considers it as the sole legitimate leader of entire Muslim Community. Second lecture elaborates upon the aspects of Islamic revolution of Iran led by Imam Khomeini, which culminated in Feb. 1979, with no material resource, and without any war or foreign support and which established him as the undisputed leader of a major revolutionary movement. His third lecture covers on analytical study of the events of the year of Revolution. A series of question, answer in follow up of the lectures makes the concept very clear and unambiguous
