The book, first of the series, tries to address basic questions around the religion such as: 1. What is so appealing in the religion that people cannot help but get attracted to it? 2. Is it something ingrained in every human being that makes him crave for religion? 3. Was it an indigenous growth at different places or it was the disfigured form of the same Religion of God which took different shapes? 4. Do the many different religions around the world have common roots?
The author tries to analyze the different religions so as to see if they have common roots. First religion explored from this point of view is "JAINISM" because it claims to be the oldest and existed from the times eternal.
