The modern world's challenges have evoked profound intellectual repercussions within the different religious traditions. Muslim thinkers too have been grappling with those challenges and attempted to propound Islamic solutions. These lines of thought have been very vital and attractive in Iran as well. In various Persian magazines and books, Iranian Muslim thinkers have extensively dealt with those issues and engaged in heated debates. Unfortunately, this vitality of thought has had little international appearance due to the fact that these discussions have not been translated into English or other European Languages. Hopefully publication of this book will to some extent represent the depth of Islamic thought and the sensitivity of Muslim thinkers to global issues. The writer of this book has a PH.D in philosophy from Rice University in USA and has thought philosophy at some American Universities.
