The color-coding system has been introduced to highlight the rules of Tajweed found in the Qur'anic text. In doing so color-coded blocks have been used to highlight the particular letters effected by Tajweed. Having a block on the Tajweed Rule allows the reciter to emphasize the accent, phonetics, rhythm and temper of the Qur'anic recitation. It is imperative for the reciter to have a working knowledge of the rules of Tajweed in order to know how to pronounce the letter on which emphasis has to be laid.
