Getting to know myself

The book written by Helen Sedigh discusses some of the veils that prevents us from getting to know our true, inner self. These include anger, judgment, gossiping, fear, jealousy, dishonesty, betrayal, vanity and ostentation. The discussion of each of the veils is followed by practical experiences for removing these veils, verses from the Holy Quran, traditions from the Prophet (sawa), and the words of the Holy Imams. The ups and down in confronting the veils how to gain a deeper understanding and self-awareness, putting our heart into what we do, realizing our true goals in life, and making the best of our time are some of the key discussions in this book.
